Barbaro Terms of Service

Effective date: September 18, 2026 Last updated: September 18, 2026

These terms govern your use of Barbaro (the "app" or the "game") on Android and iOS, and of its website elbarbaro.app (the "website"). By installing or using the game, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.

1. Who runs the game

The game is operated by Ramiro Gioia, an individual based in Argentina ("we", "us").

2. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Barbaro. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian, who also agrees to these terms on your behalf, especially for any subscription.

If we find out an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it along with its data.

3. Your account

4. How the game works

5. Randomness and odds

Rolls, pet appearances, mystery cage contents, and other outcomes are random. We publish the odds at elbarbaro.app/probabilidades, and they are the odds the game actually uses. If they change, we update that page.

We don't guarantee you'll get any particular pet, weapon, skill, or item, no matter how many times you roll.

6. Virtual items

Everything in the game (barbarians, pets, weapons, experience, trophies, titles, laurels, cages, etc.) is virtual content:

The game has no one-off item purchases, no ads, and no gambling. The only thing you can buy is the Barbaro Pro subscription.

7. Barbaro Pro subscription

What you get. Pro doubles your daily fights, daily experience, and barbarian slots. It does not give extra rolls: everyone gets the same. Pro never gives you more luck, better odds, or better stats.

Plans and price. There's a monthly plan and a yearly plan. The price is shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and may vary by country. Applicable taxes are shown by the store.

Billing. You're charged by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), depending on where you subscribe, using the payment method on your store account. We never receive or store card details.

Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) for the same length and at the current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price goes up, the store will notify you under its rules and, where required, ask for your consent.

Free trial. If we offer a free trial, you'll see its length before you accept. If you don't cancel before it ends, you'll be charged for the plan you chose.

How to cancel. You can cancel anytime in the store:

There's also a shortcut in the app's Settings and at Google Play or the App Store, where the subscription is billed. When you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription: you must cancel it in the store.

Refunds. Refunds are handled under the policy of the store you bought from. You can request one from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google (through Google Play). This doesn't limit any rights you have under the law where you live (see section 8).

If Pro expires. If you have more barbarians than the non-Pro limit, the extra ones go to the bench: they don't fight, but they aren't deleted and don't lose anything, and they may still appear as opponents and in historical rankings. You can change which barbarians are benched as often as the game allows. When you get Pro again, they come off the bench.

Promotional Pro. Pro earned as a reward (for example, through referrals) is not charged and does not auto-renew: it lasts for the stated time and then simply ends. If you already pay for Pro, the promotional period is added after your paid period.

8. Consumer rights

If you're a consumer in Argentina, you have the rights granted by Consumer Protection Law 24,240, including the right to withdraw within 10 calendar days and to cancel the service through the same channel you used to sign up. Since Pro is purchased and billed through Apple or Google, cancellations and refunds are handled in those stores (section 7); if you have trouble, email us at soporte@elbarbaro.app and we'll help.

If you're in the EU or UK, you'll be asked in the store to agree that Pro starts immediately, which may affect your statutory right of withdrawal as permitted by law.

Wherever you live, nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that can't be waived under your local law.

9. Schools (referrals)

10. Public names and conduct

Your barbarian and pet names are public. They can appear in rankings, opponent profiles, each fight's web page, and share links. Don't use your real name, personal information, or anyone else's information.

You may not:

Moderation. We use a word filter and a report name button. Where reasonable and without prior notice, we may hide reported names while we review them, require you to change a name, remove rewards obtained by cheating, and suspend or ban accounts that break these terms. If you think we got it wrong, email soporte@elbarbaro.app.

Please report in good faith: repeated false reports also break these terms.

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account whenever you want:

Deleting your account removes your account, your barbarians (they stop appearing as opponents and in rankings), and your personal data, as explained in the Privacy Policy. It's permanent: we can't restore the account or its progress.

Deleting your account does not cancel Pro (cancel it in the store) and doesn't by itself entitle you to a refund. Anything you already shared publicly outside the game (for example, fight images or links you sent to others or posted on social media) may remain with third parties.

We may also close accounts that break these terms or have been inactive for a long time (today we don't delete accounts for inactivity), with advance notice where possible.

12. Intellectual property

The game, its code, art, characters, names, music, sounds, and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, decompile, resell, or distribute the game, except as allowed by law.

The names you choose for your barbarians and pets are yours, but you give us a free, worldwide permission to display them in the game, on the website, in rankings, and in share links for as long as needed to run the service.

You're welcome to share screenshots and links of your fights for personal, non-commercial use.

13. Availability and third-party services

The game requires an internet connection. We do what's reasonable to keep it running, but there may be outages, bugs, maintenance, or data loss. We may require you to update the app to keep playing.

The app relies on third-party services (Apple and Google stores, Google or Apple sign-in, among others). Their own terms apply to your use of them.

We may stop offering the game. If we do, we'll give at least 30 days notice and stop renewing subscriptions; unused paid periods will be handled under the store's policy and applicable law.

14. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the game is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect damages, loss of virtual content or progress, or problems caused by your device, your connection, or third-party services. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in this section limits liability that can't be limited by law (for example, under consumer protection laws where you live), or liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new version on the website with its date and, if the change is significant, notify you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep playing after that date, you accept the new version; if you don't agree, you can stop playing and delete your account.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina. If you're a consumer, you may bring a claim before the courts and consumer authorities where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Before starting a formal claim, please email us at soporte@elbarbaro.app so we can try to sort it out.

If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest remains in effect.

17. Apple notice

If you downloaded the game from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the game, its maintenance or support, or any claims related to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies where it doesn't conflict with these terms.
